Stephen Keshi, Former Coach of Nigeria's SUper Eagles has passed on.

Few days after the biggest and saddest news in the entire world of sports; the passing of Muhammad Ali, another gem in the Nigerian Football history has passed on. Stephen Okechukwu Keshi passed on in the early hours of Wednesday in Benin City, Edo State as a result of a cardiac arrest. Stephen Keshi, who was born on the 23rd of January,1962 was the coach of the  Nigerian National Football Team (Super Eagles). He was one of only two people, along with Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary, to have won the Africa Cup of Nations as both a player and a coach. Keshi was 54 years old.

According to sources, Stephen Keshi has been in utter grief pertaining to his wife's death during the last days of last year. Keshi's wife Kate had been battling with cancer which caused her untimely death.
Keshi and his late wife Kate were marrried for 35 years and had four children together. They were last seen publicly together at the marriage ceremony of their daughter Infeyinwa somewhere March in Ekenwa, Nigeria. 

The sudden news of Keshi's death was announced in the early hours of today.The family of the legend publicly announced the death of their beloved son and Nigeria's football legend saying:
Our son, brother, father, father-in-law,brother-in-law, has gone to be with his wife of 35 years (Nkem), Mrs. Kate Keshi, who passed on on the 9th December 2015.Since her death, Keshi has been in mourning. He came back to Nigeria to be with her. He had planned to fly back today Wednesday, before he suffered a cardiac arrest. He has found rest.We thank God for his life.
Today we have lost another gem in the Sports fraternity. Our hearts and profound condolences to his family and all sympathizers.
