GPL; MATCHDAY 24. KNOW IT ALL


With 184 games played, the Ghana Premier League this weekend rolls into its round of 24 games. 
Wa All Stars found their way back to the top of the league after defeating Bechem United by two goals to nothing over the last weekend. They now have 41 points from the 23 games played so far. Liberty Professionals' Latif Blessing and Aduana Stars' Yahaya Mohammed have both scored 13 goals and currently lead the hunt for the golden boot. But for Medeama SC's clash with Hasaacas which has been postponed due to  their participation in the CAF Club Confederations Cup, all games will be played simultaneously on Saturday.
Liberty will welcome Kotoko to the Dansoman Park whilst Hearts also hosts Techiman City at the Accra Sports Stadium. Bechem United will also play at home to Inter Allies in a bottom table clash. In-form Ebusua Dwarfs will welcome league leaders All Stars to the Robert Mensah Stadium in the weekend's top duel. 
Dreams FC will seek to do the double over Ashantigold at the Dawu Park. Elsewhere at the Oseadeayo Agyeman Badu Park, Aduana Stars will lockhorns with Chelsea FC in a regional derby. WAFA SC will also travel to play New Edubiase United at the Gyamfi Park in Bekwai.

Here are some things to note ahead of the games;
1. Of the 370 goals scored in the league, Aduana Stars have scored the most. 32.

2. Ashantigold SC's last home win means they have won a only 4 times at home. The same number as bottom placed New Edubiase.

3. Hearts of Oak SC's were unbeaten in 11 away games this season before being walloped by three goals to zip on Saturday. The last time Hearts lost by 3 goals to nothing was on 23rd April, 2014. They lost to Hasaacas at the Essipong Stadium.

4. 5 of Latif Blessing's 13 league goals have been scored in the first half. 

5. League leaders, Wa All Stars FC have conceded just a single goal in their 12 home games this season. 14 in 23 games.

6. Techiman City FC and Chelsea FC have lost all their last 5 away league games.

7. Asante Kotoko's 1-0 win over Dreams FC  was their 7th 1-0 in this season's league. Their 4th at home.

8. WAFA, Inter Allies, Bechem United and Hasaacas join Techiman City and Chelsea as the only clubs not to have won a match away from home. Win less aon the road.

9. In the last 6 league games played, Dwarfs and Dreams have both scored 9 and conceded 3.

10. Dwarfs have won all their last 5 home matches scoring 10 and conceding 2 in the process.

11. Five times this season, a game has ended 3-0. The last was on Saturday at the Academy Park in Sogakope where WAFA beats Hearts.
