Ayat's MADFEST Was a Musical Blessing

Madina went live as the second edition The Music of African Descent Festival (MADFEST) occurred. The event hosted and headlined Ghana's spirited musician AYAT, was organized in partnership with Shock Entertainment and UrbanRoll.net. MC duties was handled by one Chief Michaels, and Yfm’s ace radio presenter Joel Orleans. The night also coincided with the birthday of AYAT’s official dj; DJ YOGA. Most of the performers took turns to shower good wishes on him.

The Night commenced with a sterling and charging performance from the AMG Prince, Medikal. Medikal left the crowd screaming to his hit records, By Heart boy, Confirm, Anthem and Too Risky. With an already heated crowd, several other musicians took turns in maintaining the exuberance, artistes including CJ Biggerman, Kula GH, Tinuke, King of Accra, Manifest and many more. Another electrifying performance which elevated the crowd was from Akan, as he was joined by Worlasi to perform his massive him, Helebaba.
The man of the night, AYAT aka Alhaji DODO jumped on stage in a traditional islamic  robe with a painted face. Ayat began his performance with a motivational speech to the youth of Madina and then after a cool singing freestyle urging them to stay hardworking and never to give up.
He delivered his performance in his usual hausa, pidgin and English which wowed the audience for over an hour. His performance was very captivating, electrifying and involving, as the fans were all over him, singing to his songs and responding positively to his movement.
This year’s MADFest was fun-packed with no room for dull moments, not even a second was idle. This was evident in the movement of the crowd and the flow of performances. Ace Ghanaian rapper; and a fellow Madina blood, congratulated AYAT for putting together this event and urged him to keep making it great.
