HOW GHANAIAN PLAYERS FARED IN THE CAF INTER CLUB COMPETITIONS

Ghana's sole CAF inter club competitions representative, Aduana Stars lost in DR Congo to AS Vita. Jean-Marc Makusu got a brace for the newly crowned DR Congo league champions. Aduana Stars are yet to win a point away from home. Qualification to the next round of the Confederations Cup competition looks to be fading away with each game played away from home. The Dormaa based club lie 3rd, 4 clear points below the 1st and 3 behind the 2nd.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 

Wydad AC 2, Horoya 0
The Guinean giants lost away to WAC at the Stade Mohamed V Stadium. Brefo Mensah and Seyei Baffour featured for the losing side. Baffour and Mensah combined well in midfield but it wasn't enough for the Guinean club to pick up even a point. 

Mamelodi Sundowns 2, AS Togo-Port 1
Sundowns revenged their one nil loss to the Togolese side as they won their first home game in the group stages. Razak Braimah, played second fiddle to Dennis Onyango once again. 

Brefo Mensah (Red Jersey) 

CONFEDERATIONS CUP 

Williamsville AC 2, Enyimba 0
Ghana duo, Fatawu Dauda and Farouk Mohammed featured for the Nigerian side as they lost their second away group game. Dauda picked up a ball from the back of his net in each half. Farouk picked up a yellow card on the 43rd minute for his troubles. The former Elmina Sharks midfielder got substituted in the second period at the Stade Robert Champroux.


Al Masry 1, RS Berkane 0
Former Hearts of Oak midfield sensation, Torric Jebrin played as the host won by a goal to nothing. The Ghanaian was substituted on the 90 minute mark to a large round of applause after thrilling fans with his trickery and skill. The Egyptian club, unbeaten, registered their second home win at Port Said.
