In the wake of Ghana's recent away defeat to Kenya in the ongoing 2019 CHAN qualifier, younger brother of legendary Abedi Ayew Pele, Solar Ayew wants Kwesi Appiah to show some  'courage' and recall in-form Sassuolo star Kevin-Prince Boateng to the Black Stars.

Ghana lead the group after two games with 3points, same as every other opponent in the group. The outspoken former midfielder believes Boateng's inclusion can propel the team to next year's event.

"It's time for Kevin-Prince Boateng to be given a national team call-up due to his form at Sassuolo," he told Takoradi-based Aseda FM when quizzed about the former player's exclusion.

Kevin last played for Ghana at the World Cup stage in 2014 at Brazil. After Ghana's elimination from the group stages, Kevin and a host of notable names like Sule Muntari and Michael Essien were never called up again due to a 'fight' with management and technical members of the team over unpaid bonuses.

Sola is of the view that even though he (Kevin) has been absent from the Black Stars for a while, Kwesi Appiah should be courageous enough to invite him.

The Uncle to the Ayews (Dede and Jordan)), Sola, has also asked the Head Coach, Appiah to reconsider calling his nephews despite the claims of indiscipline by the technical team.

Kevin, now 31, has found the back of the net 3 times in 4 appearances for Sassuolo in Italy. Comparatively, the former AC Milan player,  has a better goal per game ratio in relation to the forwards being called up to the Black Stars this season.
