GFASC- 6 TALKING POINTS FROM MATCHDAY 10

Can football ever live free from surprises? Does look obvious. 6 games were played simultaneously with Hearts' goalless encounter with Liberty the only delayed fixture. 4 other fixtures were inseparable with a paltry 11 goals recorded at the 7 match venues. WAFA and Medeama were the only sides to record wins with no club winning away from home.

Finally Held
In 9 previous games, Hearts fans had only witnessed 6 wins and 3 loses with none of their games ending in a stalemate. Tried as they did, the Phobians couldn't get a 3rd consecutive win. For once in their script, Hearts played out a drawn game. Kudos to Liberty's surge.

Wonderful "Makwekwe"
Netting his 3rd goal of the campaign, Alex Asamoah never lost his boots. Crowned top scorer in Ghana about a decade ago, the veteran poacher has been inspirational for Eleven Wonders. Deifying age and skeptics, the "old" mam has managed 1/3 of all goals scored by the Techiman lads.

The Taylor Show
Another away game, another Taylor show. Blessed with Sarfo Taylor and Diawisie Taylor, the Pride and Passion side are joint high scoring with 15 scored in 10 games. Prior to the Tema trip, Sarfo Taylor had been named as the club's Player of the Month. Buoyed by that, Diawisie Taylor got a personal brace in their 2 all against Inter Allies. The duo have netted 60‰ of the club's goals with Diawisie Taylor now on 6 goals.

First Half Goals
Games are won from the blast of the whistle but not Berekum Chelsea. For the 3rd home game running, the Blues failed to score a goal in the first half. They did score late on in the game but it was only an equaliser.

Medeama Breaking Away
19points from 9 games ensures that the Mauve and Yellows from Tarkwa top Zone A. 4 points off Asante Kotoko who have a game in hand, the westerners are on course to lead the pack of clubs.

Saved?
Having roped in 11 goals from 8 games, calls for a change in goalkeeping were rife. Then came in Ganiwu Alhassan. Playing in post in Liberty's last 2 away games, the agile yet young shot stopper has conceded 0 goals. Is he here to save the Professionals' season with 4 games to go? Joseph Esso knows him best.
