ALFRED QUAYE OWED BY ZAMBIAN SIDE PRISON LEOPARDS

On a sunny afternoon at the Berekum Golden City Park, Alfred Okai Quaye established himself as a cult hero when he single handedly ensured that Aduana Stars lost the Brong Ahafo derby. Aduana looked set to clinch their 2nd league title but the Berekum Chelsea attacker had questions for their defence marshalled by Wahab Adam. Alfred got three goals thus winning the day for the Berekum side.

After short stints in 2018 with Racing Beirut Club in Lebanon and PKNP FC in Malaysia much was not head of the goalpocher until March 2019 when he joined Zambian outfit Prison Leopards.

Quaye with some teammates in Zambian
Leopards in a quest to ressurect their dying season fell on the Ghanaian on a short deal who notched home a goal on his debut. Alfred scored a brilliant goal at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka as the Leopards defeated Red Arrows. Lively in the final third as ever yet his inclusion couldn't change the club's fate as they finally got relegated.

The Ghanaian forward who relishes his stay in the Zambian league has however expressed discontent at the sour end to the tale.

" I have been talking to them for about a 2 months now, they keep refusing to send me my money. They're supposed to pay me 3 months salary and signing fee. I thought after the league they will give me but they refused and tell me to go to Ghana and they will send the money to me. I have been in Ghana for a month now, when I contact them. ( they say that they will pay tomorrow)"

Alfred joined the Zambians on a 3-month deal amidst promises of getting his money in the course of the season. Calm as ever, he played the season with his heart out only to be ignored at the end of the season.

The player currently in his homeland is yet to receive his due; 3 months salary and signing on fee,  from the Zambian club with close associates advising him to report the club to FIFA.

The club officials have meanwhile  ignored calls from the Kenyan agent who brokered the deal. Reports also suggest that a Kenyan and 2 other Ghanaian players are also in a similar rumble with Prison Leopards
