Asante Kotoko looking to build a winsome squad ahead of the new season have made contacts for the services of Malian midfielder,  Mamadou Kouyate and Burkinabe national, Nandji Zoumana Traore.

Mamadou Kouyate
Kouyate,27, who has formerly represented El Raja Marsa Matruh in Egypt failed to nail down a deal with Elmina based Sharks FC. Intended to join the club ahead of the just ended GFA Special Competitions, the Malian gem's demands were never met which stalled his move.

Upfront, Asante Kotoko looks set acquire the services of former Burkinabe Youth striker,  Zoumana Traore. The forward joined Stade Tunisien in 2017 on a three and a half years deal.

Failing to notch a regular spot, the quick forward will look to grab his chance in the Red shirt. Zoumana, 21, had a prolific year at Etoile Filante Ougadougou before his move to Tunisia.

Kouyate, formerly of Malian giants Djoliba AC, who got 2 goals and 10 assists in 28 games in Egypt will not only bring steel and power to the middle of the park but experience, creativity and drive going forward.

Asante Kotoko SC will make an appearance in the CAF Champions League competition this year after a five year absence. Additions have been made to the playing body with Kelvin Andoh,  Kwame Baah (goalkeeper) and Justice Blay joining the team already.
