Once the football season curtain is drawn,  club's assess their players' performance and typical of clubs, the "chopping and signing" begins. Newly crowned GFA Special Competition Tier 1 Champions, Asante Kotoko have thus been busy strengthening their human resource.

With top attacker,  Songné Yacouba speculated to be on the as well Abdul Fatawu Safiu,  the club has turned their attention to Burkinabe national,  Nandji Zoumana Traore to fill the void.

The former Stade Tunisien player moved to his homeland last season and was impressive as ever. Zoumana, 21, has progressed through the national ranks and it comes as no surprise with the forward earning a call up to the Olympic side (Under 23).

Zoumana tipped to seal a deal with Asante Kotoko in the coming days is unperturbed by the call and is ready to seek permission from the national team handlers to get the deal done as soon as possible. 

The quest for continental football glory beckons and his experience will be vital to the course of Asante Kotoko.
