GHANA HANDED THE AFRICAN GAMES FLAG IN RABAT

Ghana won the rights to host the 13th edition of the multi-sport event for the first time last year. Ghana in 2023 will be the 11th nation to have held the games. 

Ghana was officially handed the African Games flag at the Closing Ceremony of the 12th African Games on Saturday 31st August 2019, Rabat, Morocco.


The handing over of the flag gives Ghana the affirmation to host the 13th edition of the African Games in 2023.

The flag was presented by Moroccan Minister for Youth and Sports to his Ghanaian counterpart, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, who was well represented by the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Curtis Perry Okuzeto.


Ghana placed 15th on the log at the recently held games at Rabat, Morocco. 13 medals were annexed in total,  9 of which was bronze.
