After 25 round of matches played in the Ghana Premier League, All Stars sits on top of the league ladder with 42 points, just a point above Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak SC who lie second and third respectively. The just past round recorded three drawn games, four home wins and just one away win. The weekend promises yet another round of competitiveness with 7 games to be honored.
In-form Ebusua Dwarfs will host Bechem United at the Robert Mensah Stadium. Hearts of Oak will also lock-horns with Tema based Inter Allies. Elsewhere at Bekwai, bottom-placed New Edubiase United will host league leaders All Stars.
In the other games, Techiman City will travel to play Dreams FC at the Dawu Park with Liberty and WAFA SC seeking to sell some quality football at Dansoman. Aduana Stars and Ashgold will battle it out at Dormaa whilst Hasaacas welcomes Kotoko to the Essipong Stadium.
Medeama SC's home clash with Chelsea meanwhile has been postponed because of the former's participation in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Here are some things worth knowing ahead of the weekend's games;
1. 397 goals have been scored in the 199 games played so far.
2. WAFA has conceded a paltry 3 goals in their 13 home games this season. All 3 goals have been conceded in the second half of three different games.

3. After scoring a goal in their away game with Hasaacas on 30th July, 2016, Bechem United have not managed a goal in their three subsequent away games.

4. Techiman City's sole goal in their one-all draw with Hearts on matchday 24 was their first away goal in 5 away games. Surprisingly, their last away goal before that was also recorded against Kotoko in Kumasi though they lost 2-4.

5. Berekum Chelsea have failed to pick a point in their last 6 away games. They have managed to score just one goal in the said games.

6. Gockel Ahortor of Inter Allies has scored 7 goals this season. 5 from free-kicks and 2 from the penalty spot. Dead ball wizard?

7. Of the 22 home goals scored by WAFA this season at the Academy Park, 15 have been scored in the first period of the games.
Christopher Bonney of Ebusua Dwarfs kicks the ball.

8. Dwarfs have won their last 6 home games scoring 11 and conceding just 2 in the process. In 2014, they won 5 home matches on the trot from 26/03 to 21/05 2014. Can they make it 7 this weekend?

9. Full-back, Christopher Bonney who re-joined Dwarfs from Kotoko in the second transfer window has managed to score 4 goals in his outings for the Cape Coast based club. Amos Frimpong (Kotoko) is the only defender to have scored more than him. 7.

10. After failing to score in their first home game,  Aduana Stars have scored at least a goal in their subsequent 11home outings. They have scored 24 in the process.

11. In 12 away games this season, Hearts have scored at least a goal in 10 of them. They managed to score atleast a goal in 8 away games all season in 2014/15.

12. Latif Blessing (Liberty) remains the only player to score a hat-trick in the second round of the league.

13. Medeama and Hearts are the only sides not to have won a game in their last 5 league games. Medeama have lost 4 and drawn 1 with Hearts losing 1 and drawing 4.
