Come Wednesday, 17th August, eight games will be played simultaneously at the various venues as the hunt for the coveted Ghanaian Premier League trophy continues. Despite losing their last league game, Wa All Stars lead the pack with 41 points after 24 games played.
At the Malik Jabir Stadiun, Wa All Stars will host third-placed Hearts of Oak. New Edubiase United who seem destined for relegation will also travel to play Techiman City FC at the Nana Ameyaw Park. Inter Allies FC will seek to halt the winning run of visitors Ebusua Dwarfs at Tema. Berekum Chelsea hosts Hasaacas from Sekondi in a lower-table clash at the Golden City Park.
In the other top-table clash, Asante Kotoko will seek a third straight win when they play Aduana Stars at the Babayara Sports Stadium. Across the region, Ashantigold will lock-horns with Liberty Professionals at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Facility. Elsewhere in Sogakope, WAFA SC will play hosts to Dreams FC. In the last game of the round, Bechem United will seek to ressurect their hopes of staying in the premier division when they meet Medeama SC who themselves are yet to win a game in their last five attempts. 
Ahead of the mid-week's clashes, here are somethings to note;

1. 140 out of the 191 games played so far have ended as wins. 382 goals have been registered in the process. An average of 2 goals per game.

2. Yahaya Mohammed's winner for Aduana Stars over Chelsea the past weekend takes his tally to 14 goals, one more than Libert's Latif Blessing. The league's highest. Only 2 of the 14 goals have been scored away from Dormaa.

3. Medeama SC's Akwasi Donsu has scored 10 goals this season with 90% coming from dead ball situations. 8 free-kicks, 1 penalty-kick.

4. In the last ten round of league games, Dwarfs have managed 20 from a possible 30 points. W6 D2 L2. They have won their last 3 games in the process.

5. Mohammed Duada scored in Kotoko's two-nil win over Liberty Professionals the past weekend. He also scored the last time Kotoko got two away goals in the league. (02/08/14- Hearts1, Kotoko2)

6. Wa All Stars have managed to keep 11 clean-sheets in 12 home games this season. They have conceded just one goal at home.  Can you believe it?

7. 15 out of Berekum Chelsea's 19 goals scored this season have been registered at home. Representing almost 79% of their goals.

8. Liberty Professionals have gained only 6 points in their last ten games. W1 L6 D3

9. Sadddick Adams (Chelsea), Bright Adjei (Aduana Stars), Richard Arthur (All Stars), Eric Bekoe (Hasaacas), Dauda Mohammed (Kotoko), and Abednego Tetteh ( Bechem Utd) have scored 48 goals among themselves. 8 each.

10. Before the Liberty conquest, the last time Asante Kotoko won by two unanswered goals in the league was on 25/01/15 when they beat BA United at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

11. In 12 home league matches this season, Hearts of Oak have manage to score more than one goal in just one match. They have failed to score a single goal in three games and less than two goals in 11 games.
