Black Arts Street Festival Kick Start From 1st to 3rd December in Tema.

The re-branded Tema Arts and Fashion festival 'Black Arts Street Festival' commences on the 1st of December 2017, at the Tema Community Four Basketball Court.

Gradually, fine arts is gaining much firmer ground and deserved attention in Ghana; with the rise of avenues, opportunities and organisations to signify its essence and growth and also to celebrate artistic creators. One of such avenues is the three-year running Black Art Street Festival (BASFEST) formerly known as the Tema Arts and fashion festival. Basfest is a three-day fair to showcase expressive, performed and created arts specifically; fine painting, music, and fashion.

This year's focus 'Black Creativity: The Relevance of Art to National Development-The Concept of Recycling' connotes the use of arts to influence habits, and behaviors that affect national development. In view of this, activities enshrined in the festival would be directed and tailored to sensitize audience to the concept of recycling.

'Initials and Signatures' Ltd.; the management and facilitators of this festival seeks to assure the general public of an enhanced showcase of Arts through exhilarating activities. The festival this year shall feature the best of performers and exhibitors and is looking forward to a very huge audience from the first to the third of December (1st to 3rd December, 2017).
