Baba Rahman Returns: Gets 34minutes on Matchday 34

It was day 34 of the Bundesliga and as usual the renowned league was not bereft of any excitement though the title had already been won by FC Hollywood (Bayern Munich). The Bavarians lost to Stuttgart at home in the final day of matches as the away side tried all they could to grab an European place but to no avail.

Freiburg's two nil win over Augsburg meant Wolfsburg's thrashing of FC Koln was just a game of two relegated teams. Wolfsburg, Hamburger and Koln have all ended their Bundesliga ride at least for now but just then Baba Rahman's romance with the league was rekindled. The Ghana international made a long awaited return to action after injuring his cruciate ligament while playing for Ghana at the 2017 AFCON against Uganda.

Having sat out of action for over a year now,  the sweet-footed left-full back came in for Evgen Konoplyanka on the 57th minute. With the Ukrainian attacker out,  Rahman took charge of the left wing showing traces of his art.

The left-back who broke into the Ghana national team after impressing on a year deal with Asante Kotoko in the 2011/12 Ghana Premier League from Dreams FC has now managed 14 league games for the Gelsenkirchen side.

Markus Weinzierl rescued the former Notre Dame Seminary Senior High School student from his blues at Chelsea and now Domenico Tedesco has no option but to ensure that the sleek left-back will have a good football spell.

Hopefully, the manager has the wand to pull the cat out of the hat after the mundial.
