KWADWO ASAMOAH RETURNS AS GYAN AND AYEWS GET DROPPED

Head Coach of Ghana's senior national team, Kwasi Appiah has named a 21 man squad to face Kenya ahead of next year's AFCON. The duel which will take place next month is the first of the qualifiers.

The Black Stars are scheduled to pitch camp in Ethiopia before facing the Harambee Stars. The technical team has decided to do away with the experience of national topscorer, Asamoah Gyan as well as Dede and Jordan Ayew. 

Mubarak Wakaso also didn't make the cut. Solomon Asante who has been in stellar form for Phoenix was also overlooked. Some new faces get a try out instead. 

Athletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey, who acted as captain in the last two friendlies in June might likely lose the band to returnee Kwadwo Asamoah.
