GEORGE AMOAKO HAS DENIED US - Chapters Chairman Laments

Ashanti Regional Chapters Committee Chairman, Ishak Omar Tetteh has accused Asante Kotoko CEO George Amoako of neglecting the arrested supporters of Hearts.

"As the chairman of the committee in charge of the friendly, you shouldn't publicly declare your stance on this matter. He told me together with Hearts board member Alhaji Akambi and regional chapters organizer Abass when we confronted him for assistance that the affected supporters must be put behind bars to serve as a detriment to them" declared Tetteh.
The said supporters were arrested and detained accordingly for allegedly destroying stadium property.

Going on,  he added that, "Special Assistant to Dr Kyei, Nana Kwasi Gyambibi was the only one who showed up at the police station last Monday. It was wrong for Mr George Amoako to say this to us".

He however denied reports of neglect from Hearts CEO Mark Noonan.
"Officially there's no report Mark Noonan isn't ready to assist in seeking the release of the affected supporters. It is based on the instructions of Mark Noonan that Board Members Frank Nelson, Alhaji Akambi and management members called for updates on the issue. Until I hear it from them I can never say the board and management have rejected the supporters."
The detained supporters will be given a second hearing in court on Friday, 7th September. The said culprits were arrested at the green stand of the Babayara Stadium during the second leg of the Super Clash.

The supporters leaders of the Accra based club are considering not to attend any Super Clash friendly.
