JOSEPH AGBEKO RETAINS AFRICAN BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE AS POLOPALA SHINES ON

It was an exciting night of mouth watering bouts at Woezor Hotel in Ho which left many boxing fanatics in turn salivating over the prospects of the sport. 

The night saw boxers from Ghana and beyond coming up against each other to the amusement of the gathered crowd.


The initiative between the Volta Regional Boxing Federation and Aborigines Promotion saw
Former 2 time World Champion Joseph King Kong Agbeko retaining his title after defeating Ekow Wilson in the 10th round.

Agbeko, cheered on by the numerous supporters emerged victorious in the 10th round with a TKO in the maiden defence of his WBO Africa Bantamweight strap that he secured in March of this year 2018.
“Thanks to promoters, Uncle Rich of Aborigins promotions, they believed so much in me even after a bad performance, they still believed in me and encouraged me a lot and that motivated me alot.- Agbeko 
Agbeko and Wilson trade punches 
That same night, two undercard bouts were honoured. The first saw Anama Dotse 'Polopala' stopping his Ugandan counterpart Sani Yidana Kublie in the 2nd round.

The second undercard bout of the night was between Kwesi Tutu "Dark Destroyer" and Togolese  Koudeha John "African Mike Tyson" ending up in a Unanimous decision 74-78, 74-80, 72-80 in favour of Koudeha.
