CAF CL: WHICH GHANAIAN PLAYERS GOT MINUTES

Another round of games were played in the CAF Champions League. Interestingly, Ghana has no Club representation in this year's edition.

Some Ghanaians meanwhile did get to play in the tournament plying their trade for foreign clubs. Let's see how they rose to the occasion on Tuesday, 12th February, 2019.

National Stadium, Dar es Salem, Tanzania
Simba SC 1, Al Ahly 0
Nicholas Gyan lasted the entire duration of the game on the bench as Akwasi Asante and James Kotei started in Simba's home win over Al Ahly. Former Dwarfs forward Gyan has played in the previous 3 group games as a Right Back.

James Agyekum Kotei had a good game in the central department of the field. Asante had a short afternoon in the left back role as he was substituted just 40 minutes into the game.

The win gives them an edge in the Tanzanians quest to make it to the next stage of the Champions League.

Stade Taïeb Mhiri, Sfax, Tunisia
Club Africain 0, TP Mazembe 0
Former Aduana Stars marksman, Derrick Sasraku tasted 30 minutes of action as Club Africain managed to grab their first point in the tournament. Sasraku is yet to start a game in the competition having managed 3 substitute appearances for the Tunisians.

Ghanaian duo, Prince Nana Kwesi and Najeeb Abass didn't make the Ravens matchday squad. Nana formerly represented Tano Bofoakwa before joining TP Mazembe with Abass plying his trade for Nania FC.

Stade 28 Septembre , Conakry
Horoya AC 2, Platinum FC 0
Left back, Hudu Yakubu scored his first home goal for Horoya after 2 home games in the competition. The former Ashantigold and Hearts of Lions rear man has completed all four games in the competition thus far and marked the feat with a debut goal.

Godfred Asante played in the heart of defense with Brefo Mensah and Seye Baffour playing in midfield as the Guineans won over the Zimbabwean side. The trio have penned down regular spots.

Former Hearts of Oak kingpin, Patrick Razak also made a 8 minute debut cameo when he replaced Burkinabe Mandela Ocansey.

The win propels the Guineans into 2nd place in the group as Pirates lost away to Esperance.
