FRED BOATENG SIGNS FOR TOP ANGOLAN SIDE

Former Asante Kotoko and Inter Allies centre forward Frederick Boateng has joined Angolan Girabola side Desportivo Huilva on free agency. The forward has been clubless since his contract was terminated by the the Kumasi based club in April, 2019.

Boateng joined Asante Kotoko in January 2018 on a 2 year deal and made an instant impact. He scored the winner against his former club Ebusua Dwarfs on his debut. He went on to score 2 more goals in the abridged league but he never nailed a spot in the first eleven.

Boateng, 25, bagged 9 goals for Inter Allies in 2016 and he would be expected to add some bite to the Lubango side.  The club managed just 36 goals in 30 games as they finished 3rd in the Girabola.

Come next season, the Hearts-Kotoko rivalry will live on in Angola since Boateng will be locking horns with former Hearts of Oak stars Inusah Musah and Isaac Mensah.  The duo are on the books of Petro de Luanda.
