TOKYO 2020- TAGOE CALLS UP 18 QUEENS FOR GABON CLASH

Coach of Ghana's Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has pruned her side to 18 as the team leaves to Gabon. The team will face Gabon as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Qualifiers commence on Wednesday, 28th August. 

The Queens, finalist at the 2019 WAFU Competition,  have been in camp since 7th August in a quest to make a maiden Olympic Games appearance.

The return leg of the tie is scheduled to be played at the Cape Coast Stadium on 3rd September.


Portia Boakye who was absent during the WAFU campaign returns with no places for attacker Samira Suleman, defender Faustina Ampah and Goalkeeper Nana Asantewaa. 

Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah and Ampem Darkoaa ladies' young Forward, surprinsgly made the squad.


World Under 17 golden boot Holder,  Mukarama Abdullah recently traveled to continue her education in the USA and will miss the tie. 

Abigail Tawiah of Elmina Sea Lions will compete with Police Ladies' Fafali for the number one spot.
